About

I created this site with the intentions of sharing technical guides with everyone. Mainly guides that are not available, or clear enough, to get the job done. I hope I can help someone out, and please let me know if I do!

I grew up in northern IL and quickly gained interest in computers in grade school with one of 3 computers in the school at the time. From there I expanded into hardware and started building my own. For a short while I dabbled into programming as well. All my computer basics ended up being self taught.

My professional career consists of 5 1/2 years in the US Army active duty, with a end rank of Sergeant (E-5). My job was Signal Support System Specialist (31U). Deployed twice to Iraq, finally honorably coming home in 2009.

After coming home I went to school and gained my Associates in Data Assurance & IT Security, where I focused in Cisco NetAcad CCNA networking track. From there I was picked up by a local MSP as a Network Engineer, and have been working there ever since.

Right now I mainly focus on Cisco ASA’s and the FirePower suite. Although, working for a MSP, I still work on a broad range of technologies that include O365, server hardware, PC troubleshooting, cloud services, etc.
